Beauty Bug in the press!

How excited was I to be told by one of my clients that she had just been reading my beauty tips in a magazine!!

A few months ago I was approached by the Deputy Editor of Tesco Magazine asking me to provide expert quotes on a DIY Facial- a treatment that someone could do at home on a Sunday night!

This month, the article came out (sadly my local Tesco doesn't have it in yet) but my client kindly gave me her copy!

So I thought that this month, I would bask in the glory of my article and base my blog on it and add in a few of my favourite products!

Double cleanse.....I use my favourite Dermalogica PreCleanse which is great for removing makeup including stubborn eye makeup and dirt.  It feels oily and smells divine, but once mixed with water it forms an emulsion so it doesn't leave any traces of oiliness.  I then cleanse with my Cleanser (Skin Resurfacing Cleanser from the AgeSmart range which has a mild exfoliant in it which leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean!)

Exfoliate....I love Daily Microfoliant (which I sometimes mix with Skin Resurfacing cleanser to create a marshmallowy power cleanse).  I also love Multivitamin Thermafoliant which heats up gently when I apply it to my skin.

I always wear Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 to moisturise and protect my skin.

Steaming.....I steam client's skin during a facial and every now and again I steam my own over a bowl of water.  It's great for opening the pores and if you are following it with gentle "squeezing session", really helps for any congestion (blackheads) to come out easier.  Steaming is also great hydrating the skin!

My new favourite mask is Charcoal Relief masque.  It's what I think of as a good old fashioned mud mask!  It's a masque and exfoliator in one product and you can really feel it working.

When my skin is feeling like it needs nourishing I love Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque which contains Vitamins A, C and E.  It feels and smells wonderful!

I use toner to refresh my skin and fix my makeup!  At bedtime I use it before applying Multivitamin Power Serum and my heavy duty night time moisturiser Super Rich Repair!

If you would like to try any or all of the products mentioned above please contact me for samples!
